Examples of what my tutoring sessions look like and the resources I use - coming soon
The 1:1 tutoring happens on Google Meets which is free to use by the students.
A student receives a link to the meeting via email which enables them to join the video call.
I use a visualiser (a camera) to model examples and explain the concepts. If needed I use concrete objects like base 10 blocks or cubes as well as other visual representations such as powerpoint animations to aid understanding. I break down the concepts into smaller steps that logically link together.
I set regular homework which is designed to help practise everything that was learnt during the session.
Lessons last between 45 min-60 min. I tend to give younger learners a short break halfway through the lesson to help with focus if needed.
The cost of 1:1 online tutoring varies and currently starts at £35/session.
I can provide some 1:1 in person tuition in and around East London (Tower Hamlets, Newham and Barking) with some very limited availability in and around the borough of Westminster. I charge more for in person tuition as it often requires travelling so please contact me for further details.
